We welcome all visitors who are worshiping with us today.  This morning we celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.  What comfort and assurance is granted to us in the knowledge that Christ’s body was broken, His blood shed so that we might be reconciled to our heavenly Father!  Guests who desire to participate are requested to fill out a card that the elders have with them at the table in the foyer. Evening participants are asked to sit towards the front of church. May the Lord richly bless us as we seek to worship Him today.  Please join us for refreshments after our A.M. service.

WHITE HORSE INN RADIO: TODAY: Salt & Light - What does Jesus mean when he tells his disciples that they are the "salt of the earth," and "the light of the world"?  And what are the implications of this for our lives today?  Does this text justify the assertion that Christians should not primarily attempt to preach to others, but rather should simply "be the gospel," by living transformed lives of faithfulness and compassion in this generation?  The hosts address these questions and more as they continue to unpack the Sermon on the Mount.  Sundays at 9:00 PM on AM1140 CHRB

Next Sunday, February 26, 2012: The Commands of the New Society - In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus begins a discussion of the Law of Moses, saying, "You have heard it said, but I say..." How are we to interpret these words? Is Jesus saying that the Mosaic law was too legalistic and needed improvement? Does he end up getting rid of all the strict rules and regulations in favor of a new ethic along the lines of "All you need is love?" On this program the hosts will discuss Christ's interpretation of the law of Moses, and what this means for us today as Christians.

FROM VOICE OF THE MARTYRS: Egypt - Please pray that the Lord will intervene for 16 year old Amira who was abducted from her village.  Her family was informed that she wanted to convert to Islam and that she would be held until she is 18 so she can legally profess Islam herself.  Ask Him to give her and her family the strength to endure this current hardship.  Pray for all believers in Egypt; may they keep their eyes on Jesus, persevere in their faith, and not grow weary or lose heart (Hebrews 10:32-39; 12:1-3).

CADETS February 27CIC: Austin Guzzi; COD: Steven Veldman; Cadre Set Up/Clean Up: Sharks; Inspection: James Van der Woerd

YOUNG PEOPLES’ FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY - Attention all old used vehicle battery owners! We are planning a battery drive for RYS and RMS. If you have used batteries hanging around and are willing to donate them, you can drop them off on the north side of Riet Scheffer’s shop, talk to anyone going to RYS or the Mexico Mission or call Heidi Veldman at 403-327-9145 and arrangements will be made to pick them up. We are hoping to have this drive completed prior to March 15, 2012 because the price per pound of battery drops in the spring and summer. So please consider donating and supporting these two great causes! Students involved in these groups are encouraged to get excited about this opportunity and collect some batteries!

ADOPTION AWARENESS - Previously, the Southern Alberta ARPA had asked for funds to promote Life Canada's adoption awareness campaign.  Thanks to your generous donations, and the help of Lethbridge Pro-life, there will be adoption ads on the backs of four buses for the next month.  Praise be to the LORD of life!
